What is SaaS? Software as a Service is a method of service delivery where DenoSys will offer the maintenance, upgrades, operations, and support of the software we provide to our clients. The SaaS model is the next step in the evolution of Human Resource software. It allows companies the ability to transform essential, non-core business processes and functions to ensure that maximum energy and value from resources is focused on core business processes.
A strategic partnership with DenoSys is the most effective way to build a culture capable of meeting future needs and making sharp turns at a moment's notice. We understand that this type of transformation can represent a significant change in corporate culture. The value of our solution strategy lies in the fact that our clients only pay for the modules they use and are not "nickel and dimed" by transaction costs like those used by traditional Application Service Providers.
It's a unique package that addresses your needs.
How will I know if a company is using the SaaS model of Service Delivery? True Software as a Service providers share some common characteristics:
Web access to, and management of, vendor software
Technical operations managed from a single location, not from customer work sites.
Delivery of the software is in a "one-to-many model." Meaning, it is a one instance but multi-client architecture. The clear benefits to customers include deployment, pricing, and rapid implementation.
Isn't the SaaS just another term for Application Service Provider (ASP)? Yes and No. There are two types of SaaS providers. There's an Application Service Provider (ASP), where the vendor relationship occurs when an organization purchases software and brings
it to a hosting company. Then there a second type of SaaS provider that offers what is often called software on-demand. In this type of relationship, the organization subscribes to vendor software specifically built for one-to-many hosting. This means that one copy of
the software is installed for use by many companies who access the software across the web. Typically, with ASPs, a licensing fee and a monthly fee are separate and are paid to the software vendor as well as the hosting company. With SaaS in the DenoSys model, there are no licensing fees and customers are
billed a "per employee per month" (PEPM) amount. DenoSys also offers customized features within the software.
DenoSys built its software on the SaaS model because we found that the typical ASP model was merely traditional client-server applications with HTML frontends added as the internet evolved. We also discovered that third-party hosts sometimes did not have functional or application expertise, but were only managing servers.
Also, some of these applications were not developed as net-native applications, resulting in poor performance and upgrades as difficult as if they were managed in-house. By comparison, the DenoSys HR application, written in the SaaS model, is updated regularly, often daily. The end result is a customer-focused application as
opposed to a vendor-driven offering.
